Our Vision & Aims

Our Vision

To further LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the Healthcare and Life Sciences Sector globally.

​

  • We want members of the LGBTQIA+ community to fulfil their potential and enhance the working experiences of others.

  • We want to help create environments that are safe for all LGBTQIA+ people, our allies and other intersectional communities of difference to transition from being or wanting to be invisible to knowing they can be visible if and when they choose without negative consequences.

  • We want to help raise awareness about LGBTQIA+ issues and what LGBTQIA+ people face to support empathy that will lead to understanding, acceptance and support for LGBTQIA+ individuals.

  • We want to increase LGBTQIA+ inclusion because this is good for business, for teams and for individuals.

Our Aims

Aims

Work together, and with external experts,  to enable LGBTQIA+  across everything and share best practices and resources between our LGBTQIA+ employee network groups.

We will create a supportive network for LGBTQIA+ employees in which to meet and discuss issues impacting LGBTQIA+ employees in their day-to-day work environment and take appropriate action to solve or resolve these issues.

We will provide a forum for developing an appropriate, collective response to LGBTQIA+ issues that benefit Healthcare and Life Science Sector organisations; this will reflect Alliance members’ commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusion internally and externally.

We will serve as a collective resource to our organisations, helping them to think about and make suggestions for how we can be more reflective of the patients, consumers, and communities we serve.

We will influence and support cross-organisation strategic discussion of LGBTQIA+ issues, talking and working across our Global LGBTQIA+ Councils or equivalent to influence how our companies support and embrace a focus on LGBTQIA+ inclusion and diversity.

We will harness the network to positively promote the healthcare and Life Sciences Sector in the community to diversify the talent pool applying to join our organisations.
