We are thrilled to welcome Jude Hamer as the keynote speaker for our signature Pride Month event. A three-time Paralympian and inspirational advocate, Jude brings a story of resilience, reinvention, and powerful advocacy that promises to captivate and energise anyone who attends.
Born with a rare limb difference, Jude underwent more than 25 surgeries in her first 15 years of life. At 16, she made the life-changing decision to have her leg amputated — a turning point that set her on the path to an extraordinary athletic career. Over the past 15 years, she has competed in three Paralympic Games, including the iconic London 2012, and was a core member of the most successful Women's Wheelchair Basketball Team GB has ever produced, earning a silver medal at the 2018 World Championships.
Beyond the court, Jude is a passionate and visible advocate for disability inclusion, LGBTQ+ rights, and gender representation in sport and science. As a bisexual woman in elite sport, she brings an authentic voice to conversations around identity, belonging, and visibility. Her academic background in Biochemistry and Pharmacology, with both undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications, reflects her commitment to STEM and her future ambition to contribute to world-changing pharmacological research.
Jude’s keynote will explore themes of resilience, authenticity, and the power of embracing change — offering profound insights for anyone navigating life’s transitions or striving to make impact in their personal or professional journey.
Join us for an unforgettable session with one of Britain’s most inspiring sportswomen and advocates.
