If you are curious to better understand gender identity and expression, this session is for you. The focus of this session is on gender identity and how individuals express their gender. This will include some scientific content as well as historical and current context. We will include some practical tips and advice about things like use of pronouns. Open space will be included to allow questions to be asked in a safe environment.

• Attendees will have a deeper understanding of gender identity, expression and presentation and how this is different from sexual orientation.

• Attendees will have more confidence in their own understanding of gender and in their interactions with others across the gender spectrum.
